Xemplar Energy raises $1-million privately

Xemplar Energy Corp. has closed a private placement for the sale of 6.7 million units at 15 cents per unit for a total of $1,005,000, where each unit consists of one common share of the company and one share purchase warrant having a two-year term for the purchase of one further common share of the company at the exercise price of 30 cents per share. These shares are subject to a four-month hold period expiring May 27, 2006, and June 3, 2006, respectively.
