Xemplar appoints Koep director

Peter Koep Joins Board Of Directors

Xemplar Energy Corp. has named Peter F. Koep to the the board of directors of Xemplar. Mr. Koep has been a director of Namura Mineral Resources Pty. Ltd. since May of this year. Namura is a 100-per-cent-owned subsidiary of Xemplar Energy. Namura holds all of Xemplar's current uranium exploration licences in Namibia.

Mr. Koep is the senior partner in the law firm P.F. Koep & Co., which was established in Windhoek, Namibia, in 1982. Mr. Koep has been on the board of the Namibian Stock Exchange since its inception and is currently the chairman of the stock exchange. He has published many articles, the latest being in the Mining Law E-bulletin in January, 2006. He holds a number of other directorships and is a member of the President of Namibia's economic advisory council. Mr. Koep is also Namura's accredited agent in Namibia.

In addition to the appointment, the company is also granting 600,000 incentive stock options to its director and consultant. The options are exercisable for up to five years at a price of 58 cents per share.

Craig Walker has resigned as a director of the company and the board would like to thank him for his contribution.
